Dalai Lama Quote

So I am being really lazy today and not posting a poem. Which is sad to say the least. However I saw this quote and thought that the message is exactly what I want to say today. Hope all of you are having a great day and a great year.

Speaking of years, does any one else feel like 2012 is a fantastic year to be alive?

  1. Not lazy, uninspired ;). It’s all in the phrasing.

And yes, I do!! 2012 is where I reclaim my life. No longer stand by complacent. It’s not all rainbows, but they come AFTER the storms, right?

      1. Here’s hoping. It’s definitely a year of great change. Great, great change.

  2. Its the best of times and the worst of times. Typical! Never has human ingenuity soared to such heights, the sum total of knowledge now gathered the sicence, the communications, the engineering. Amazing! Yetnever before have we stood so close to the precipice of absolute self-annihlation.
Eco-systems the world over are on the brink of collapse and we kid ourselves its business as ususal. The ultra rich delude themselves that they can insulate themselves from the consequences of their actions as long as they have enough money. Meanwhile Madness reigns. In the “Land of the Free” there is no health care or social security worthy of the name, but every citizen has an assault rifle.
Well i could go on and on (and I often do) but you get the general idea..
I wish I was an optimist, I really do, like the Dalai lama, but he is an Ocean of Wisdom, and I am but an angst ridden poet..
Great quote, by the way, and sound advice for us all.

    1. I agree with what you have to say. It is only through creating that any of us have a chance that maybe one day someone else will gain consciousness. Keep writing your poetry and thanks for your message.
